Affiliate cost

Alex Relyea:

If my tournament was in the shape of not have computer access or the supplement. Since a affiliate can have a custom rating list, can ask for a rating list of the players within my 1) zip code, 2) my state, 3) asking for published and unpublished members, 4) asking for current or all members. If not having a computer at the site, can still use the computer at home with a printer to make a special rating list for my wants and needs.

With the custom rating list, having a list of unpublished (with published) members within the range of the zip codes or the state. With a custom rating list, with expired (with current) members within the range of the zip codes or the state. When the email is sent and printed, would be better then the current issue of the rating supplement. If the custom rating list only has members or former members within the range asked for.

I’m not sure I believe what I’m going to say here, but of all the fees USCF charges, I think I believe the Affiliate fee could be higher. I would be in favor of raising the Affiliate fee and expanding the incentives for Affiliates to organize and boost membership.

Look at the ways Affiliate Membership has been enhanced in recent times.
Online entry of tournament results at a reduced cost!!!
Batch membership entry with discounts!!!

Yeah, we could do away with Chess Life for the Affiliate membership.

Gosh, we could make the magazine optional for all memberships and save a whole lot of money for members and the USCF!!!

How about an increase in Affiliate Fee’s to $50 and increase the per member discount by $.50. Couldn’t we all find 20 more members to pay for the extra $10. That might have the potential of adding a whole lot of new members!!
