It’s important because the players on any contending team are going to want to see it so they can calculate tiebreaks. Granted, I wish they wouldn’t, but then I wish a lot of things. Swiss-Sys handles this by having an option to show the round’s game-point score in brackets next to the match score on the team wallcharts. One minor annoyance of this is that I have to resize the cells on my team wallcharts, making the individual ones look a little strange.
Here’s another idea:
Use 2 lines for the team header. That way, those atrocious long team names could be accommodated in the entire first line (spanning all fields), while the second line could include a few column headers as well as the team information:
1 CAMBRIDGE SPRINGERS A FOR ANNIE, B FOR BEATRICE, C FOR CHARLIE, D FOR DAVID
Players: Team average 2199 3.5 W 72 W 40 D 28 W109
1a Christiansen, Larr 10460921 wbwb 2611 4.0 W 72a W 40a W 28a W109a
1b Kelleher, William 10012571 bwbw 2383 4.0 W 72b W 40b W 28b W109b
1c Christiansen, Nata 11366805 wbwb 1902 2.0 W 72c W 40c L 28c D109c
1d Dimitrijevic, Vesn 12436451 bwbw 1901 1.5 W 72d W 40d L 28d W109d
2 MATE THE FORKERS AND THE PINNERS AND THE SKEWERERS AND THE BLOCKERS
Players: Team average 2199 3.0 W 75 W 41 L 23 W 87
2a Mac Intyre, Paul 12232580 bwbw 2304 1.0 W 75a L 41a L 23a L 87a
2b Mc Clain, Dylan 12013830 wbwb 2284 2.5 D 75b W 41b L 23b W 87b
2c Hulse, Brian 10078644 bwbw 2200 1.0 D 75c W 41c D 23c W 87c
2d Price, Alan C 12534712 wbwb 2009 4.0 W 75d W 41d W 23d W 87d
And, if desired, the game scores could be added in a line at the end, as before.
(Note: I’ve removed the alternates for clarity.)
