The Bloomington Normal Area Scholastic Chess organization held its 22nd consecutive annual MLK day chess tournament - a tournament which was begun by Garret Scott. Attendance down just a bit with only 320 attending. We have had significant bad - cold weather with most schools out last Wed - Fri. Many school clubs were unable to meet - and coaches had to rely on phone calls and email to round up their teams.
