Bobby Fischer Movie in USA

I understand that Bobby Fischer against the World movie will be shown in USA movie houses later this year. What to readers think about chess clubs contacting their local movie houses about helping them promote the movie showings? Some of my thoughts are that the clubs might offer to set up chess displays in the movie house lobby. Might even have a simul. Maybe arrange for movie passes as prizes at chess events. Maybe some folks could give talks on Fischer.

Sounds like something that would have limited release in main movie venues, with the possibility of a wider release in smaller theaters, like at Colleges, etc.

I would think it would come out in DVD/Blu-Ray fairly soon after its short run at the theater.

Nowadays, most films get to DVD around 4 to 8 months after the theater release. Back in the heyday of the 80’s and 90’s, it could take 9 to 15 months to get a film released to DVD/VHS.
