Delay Not Set

16P states “An erroneously set clock should be handled in the same fashion as a defective clock” and 16O. Defective clocks. states “A player who wishes to claim any such defect must do so as soon as aware of it. A clock with an obvious defect should be replaced…”.

From this it seems fairly clear. The clock is not set correctly, therefore it should be fixed when noticed. No TD tip is needed, but the accompanying one in 16P backs this up.

A good way to make sure this never happens is to have a clock manufacturer make a clock that shows what the clock is set for before the game is started.

Oh wait…there already is one…lol

Unfortunately, such a clock, that while clearly superior costs almost four times as much as a DGT North American, may regrettably not gain as much traction as one might hope.
