It was a great game. I thought we were not allowed to comment on the games here. Glad to see we can say nice going Gata. He played like a true champion today.
This was apparently Gata’s first win against Topalov. Gata is one tough cookie to beat. He got in there and hung on like a tiger. Topalov was slowly squeezed the entire game.
I am proud that Gata is an American citizen.

I got little work done so far today as I was following the Kamsky game instead. Whatever the match outcome, Gata has done a fantastic job getting this far considering his limited financial support, compared to the large sums that government supported federations provide for their players’ preparation.

I am rooting for Topalov, but Kamsky’s play in Game Three convinced me that he is in the same league. With Game Four, he has made a match of it. Congratulations, Mr. Kamsky!
