Is there anything prohibiting a tournament from being rated in the middle and, if not, would it mess up rating calculations for the tournament as a whole?
Example: A tournament with 1 game a week for 4 weeks. After the 1st
3 weeks it is decided to rate the 1st 3 rounds. The 4th week will be rated after the 4th round games are completed.
We have no provisions for adding rounds to an event after it is initially rated, the only way to do this is to delete the event and resubmit it. This is not recommended, and will likely require you to pay the full rating fees for the resubmitted event, since it involves the full amount of work to rate it (and a bit more work to delete the partial report.)
For an event that lasts only 4-6 weeks, the recommended practice is to send the report in at the end. For one that lasts substantially longer than a month, monthly reports are recommended.
However, if that is done each of those monthly reports will be rated as a SEPARATE event. (That may impact the bonus formula.)
