Has anyone talked about the following? I searched the forums, but did not find anything.
Have 3 Ratings.
Regular
Quick - For games less than 60 min . (30 min. regular games don’t make sense)
Online - It does not make sense to be able to play quick rated games online with so much opportunty for abuse.

There have been several discussions on the subject, but no clear consensus has emerged from them.
Taking games faster than Game/60 out of the regular rating pool would result in most games rated by the USCF in the past 18 months being quick rated only, since the statistics on regular, dual and quick games since then are as follows:
system | games
-------+--------
D | 434763
Q | 63175
R | 292969

What is the difference between “Life 1” and “Life 2” memberships?

Life 1, also sometimes called ‘old life’ are life memberships that were created before (around) 1984.
Life 2 are those created since 1984.
Thanks.
That makes me a Life 2 member. (Since '01)
And that also explains the “L” vs “Z” I’ve seen on various mailing labels!
