hello chess comm i have a question? can u play in home games with at least two uscf members and have those games consider rated to turn in or do u have to play in a tournament for the games to count as rated? Or does it have to be more than two players in the home games or in the tournament/

Yup.

4. Matches: Individual matches are rated with the following restrictions:

a. Both players involved must be rated, with the difference in rating not to exceed 400 points (the latest published rating prior to the match will be used for calculating the rating difference). Match reports not conforming to this regulation will be returned.

b. A certified tournament director must validate match reports, or the players must sign a notarized affidavit.

c. The maximum rating change allowed as a result of a match is 50 points.

d. No player may go up or down more than 200 rating points within a three-year period solely as a result of match play.

e. Match results may not be taken into account when a player is being considered for an invitational tournament unless those results are subsequently confirmed in tournament play.

f. Matches are rated according to all current USCF formulas and policies.
