Does the USCF actually acknowledge titles that are not FIDE? 2000+ is considered a Expert but do they actually receive an acknowledgement from the USCF with some kind of congratulatory item, such as a certificate or something. I think the promotion of the accomplishments of the players is a good thing for the game in general.
I believe when someone makes Master they get a certificate from the USCF. I think at one time they also gave out some certificates when someone passed a signficant milestone such as 100 rated wins, but I’m not sure if that’s still being done, as I’m not sure what the tracking mechanism is.
