For my Scholastic chess club (fourth – sixth grade) this year, I had them do weekly “homework”, which were sets of 5 to 6 problems illustrating the weekly teaching point. I found it extremely difficult to keep up on actually checking the homework to make sure the students were doing it correctly. What I was looking for for next year is to see if there was a chess website that had chess lessons that the student could complete on their own time, and then be able to print up some sort of certificate to prove to me they had completed it. Does anyone know of some sort of site like this?
Chess Magnet School lets you assign lessons and monitor which lessons students have completed and how many problems they got right.
Doesn’t Chess Magnet School provide this now?
Another site that I find useful is ChessKids.com .
