Last night in my tournament a player walked up to me with his clock in hand. He said “My opponent wants to watch the end of the Patriots game. Is it OK to pause this?”

Now, if it was a Giants game, it would’ve been a perfectly reasonable request.
Automatic Forfeit since the Patriots beat the Kansas City Chiefs - that’s my ruling, a TD from KS.
Ah, but note how clever the player was. It was his opponent who wanted to watch the Chiefs lose.
