I have a “Chess Life Online” article on building up a chess club (how we did
it at the Fresno Chess Club; 15 members to 270 members in 2 years).

There are already a few clubs in the Chicago area. Maybe you could talk to someone at one of them.

I live 40 miles south of Chicago and am starting one with the local Library’s support. Our first chess night is June 8. When you guys say the “Chicago area”, where do you mean?
