I have rented out a 3 bedroom [1 king & 2 queens] 2 bath condo in Indio California [15 miles & 30 minutes from Rancho Mirage] from July 30 to August 8 for the US Open chess tournament this year. I do have a rental car, which I intend to cover fully myself. However, I am looking for some individuals to share the expense of the condo. It also has a full kitchen [save on cost of eating out], Central A/C, WiFi, a flat screen TV, and access to a laundry facility [less clothes to pack] in the community. It is no smoking, although there is a fake fireplace. Dishes and a dishwasher are also part of the package, outdoor BBQ if you want to grill, but there is no access to the community pool. This is not far from the Joshua Tree National park, and apparently there is a tour company that will take you to the San Andreas fault.
Please send me a Private Message if you are interested & I will let you know what I am asking per night. There is even an ottoman in the living room that converts to a twin bed, but my preference is for use of the bedrooms only.
A lot of views, but no messages as yet. I will be accepting only 2-3 individuals [unless there are 2 people who want to share a bed] for the bedrooms. There is a Futon in the Master bedroom, but I don’t know if it could be slept on. As that implies I am perfectly willing to take 1 of the bedrooms with a queen size bed. If needed I can & will pick up at the Palm Springs airport. My own flight is due in by 3pm on Saturday 7/30/22.
According to Hotels.com the Westin has 13.25% tax to be charged and a $37/night resort fee. That means rooms are $184 per night at the playing site, and of course like most hotels does not include breakfast. For each bedroom I am looking for $89 per night [you may be able to talk me down a little] and I do expect some time to be making muffins. Admittedly I will not accept a credit card [which the Westin will], but I think the plus of a full kitchen and laundry facilities more than offset that.
This is a first come first serve offer. Once I have filled the space [2 bedrooms] that will be it. The only issue I see with this arrangement is that I will be attending a number of the workshops [W-F] in the morning & afternoon at the site, as well as attending the Delegates meeting on Saturday morning/afternoon. So you have an idea of when I will be driving to the site from Indio. Also, if I have a long game [doesn’t happen as much as it really should] you will have to wait if your game is already finished. That also means we would have to wait if a roomy has a longer game than what we play in a night.
Hi, my name is Elena Stuckert, a Female. I am going to participate in the Women’s Open and World Open and I would like to Travel and share my room with any woman for $80 a night. I have a reservation for Sheraton Philadelphia Downtown from June 27th to June 30th and I have a reservation for Four Points by Sheraton Philadelphia City Center from June 30th to July 5th, which is 12 min walk from the Marriott Downtown ( 1201 Race St, Philadelphia, PA 19107)
I still have 1 Bedroom available for the US Open from July 30 through morning of August 8 [yes the tournament dates are 7/30-8/7]. I am willing to take someone for a shorter [i.e 6 day schedule] period than a full 8-9 nights. Remember that I am asking for $89 per night [Hotel rate that expired as of 7/08/22 was $139 per night plus taxes and fees] without taxes or added fees, but I will not take a credit card. I do have a Paypal account, so payment could be done that way.
I have a rental car, so I can pick up [I won’t be in on 7/30 until after 3pm] and drop off at the airport. Of course I can also do transportation to & from the tournament site. This is a 3BR, 2 Bath condo with a full kitchen, WiFi, and TV [no pool access] in Indio, CA & is about 30 minutes away from the playing site. Likely I will be making blueberry muffins, and stocking in eggs. Please note there is a sofa sleeper in the main living room, but I would prefer that nobody uses it. Not 100% firm on that however.
Send me a Private Message [PM] if you are interested.
