On another site I made a preliminary mating move … however before submitting the move I entered a message to my opponent … then I inexplicably clicked the RESIGN button and the confirmation button … imagine my disgust upon seeing “you have successfully resigned” on the page

Sorry, Mr. Ducharme’s blunder is far worse.
