C’mon Seniors - the Juniors have more than doubled us!

Juniors may have more than doubled the numbers :frowning: but the seniors still have more accumulated experience :exclamation:

Hey, you should be playing!

But by definition* I’m not even middle-aged yet.

  • the definition of middle-aged is ten years older than the person defining it.

Old age and treachery will always beat youth and exuberance. - David Mamet

cheers, …scot…

95 Seniors
192 Juniors

Let’s go Illinois Seniors - only 10 more to break the record!

97 Seniors
200 Juniors

C’mon Seniors, let’s get 8 more and break the record of 105.

8 will only tie the record of 105. Think big, think 9!

coincidence? just noticed the US Senior Open golf tournament is this weekend…

…scot…

How many are conflicted about in which to play I wonder?

The golf prize fund is only $4,000,000. What a difference TV money makes…

PS it looks like the USGA Women’s Senior Open had a prize fund of around $900,000 for the May 2019 event.

TV Money and $500 golf clubs that might fix your game but probably won’t.

Tom, you just ruined it for the Seniors who all just bought new Fischer-Spassky replica wooden pieces…

I suspect their sponsors (American Express, Deloitte, Cisco, Lexus and Rolex) have kicked in a few pennies as well.

Looking at the 2017 Senior Open, there were 104 “real” entries (players that started early in the event and played multiple rounds) and there was one late “house man” after a withdrawal to get to 105.

In the 2019 Senior Open, there were 104 real entries, and (to make a long story short) essentially 3 late entry “housemen” situations.

So I think it’s reasonable to call this one a tie.
