7 Person Round Robin Pairing Table

I am running a 7-Player RR over a 4-week period. I want to randomly seed each player just before the start of round 1. Is there a 7-RR chart such as the Quad chart located on this website? If not, is there a standard round schedule with color assignment?

Thanks

Don

Do you not have access to a USCF rulebook? (I thought all certified TDs were expected to either own or have access to a copy of the current rulebook.)

The 8 player RR chart (which is also used for a 7 player event) is on page 295.

Yes I have access, but either due to laziness or ignorance I didn’t even think to check my rule book—lesson learned :astonished:

Thanks

Please don’t think I’m picking on you, but when Tim Just and I were discussing the ‘Club recertification’ exam, I suggested it contain questions such as:

  1. On what page of the current rulebook can you find the Crenshaw-Berger tables for pairing a six player Round Robin event?

  2. If player #4 in an 8 player Round Robin drops out after round 2, are there any color changes that have to be made for the remaining rounds?

The idea was to ensure that not only does the Club TD have a copy of the rulebook, but that he’s actually looked at a few pages of it.

And perhaps in the process the TD will learn about a few rules situations, too.

No worries—Good questions----I found the section just where you said

I read elsewhere in these forums that the publisher prevents USCF from posting their rules online. However, I fail to see why this should prevent USCF from posting basic charts like this one. It would be useful for all the lazy organizers out there :sunglasses: Btw. I am sure you can get equivalent charts from foreign federation if you care to look for them.

Here is an 8-player RR crosstable with the Crenshaw pairings.
