Greetings,

Have you ever needed to “call in the Wolfe” at a chess tournament? Well Tim Brennan has, and he tells the tale in this week’s newsletter.

Of course, I couldn’t abandon my tradition of having “Tim” in the title of my Tim Brennan Week newsletter so I had to tweak the saying just a bit. Tim has been writing for me for the past 6 years, and it was he that encouraged me to get on facebook and Youtube. It was interesting that, during this year’s Tim Brennan Week, my channel (52,749 views, youtube.com/user/TimmyBx). He had a 2 year head start in his corner, but I uploaded more videos, and I had the Bobs in my corner.

I have also included my games from this weekend (Springs Fundraiser and Air Force Academy) below, for anyone who might be looking for some tactics (I certainly didn’t find any). I thought I played terrible on Saturday (g30) and ran out of gas on Sunday (g60). Yet I managed to tie for 2nd on Saturday and take home the trophy on Sunday (somewhat undeserved I thought).
