Next week’s cover story is on Barak vs. Hillary and Mccain: Youth vs. experience. It will also cover other fields in regards to youth vs experience, such as chessmasters!!
…something good for chess in a national magazine!!
All the best, Joe Lux

Too bad it’s in Time Magazine, a magazine I choose not to read.
You should be more open-minded, Mike. Chess is chess is chess!
All the best, Joe Lux
Perhaps, but Time Magazine is not a magazine I will read, for personal reasons.
You are not alone, Mike.
Don’t worry Mike. One of these times you will get ‘Man of the Year’.
On youth vs experience in chess, they should profile Korchnoi and Carlsen. Apparently during Corus, Korchnoi said Carlsen doesn’t have the right to win tournaments yet because there are thousands of chess ideas he still doesn’t know. Always the sweetheart ole’ Victor.
The article on “experience” was a little disappointing. Most of what it covered relating to chess can be found more completely in the book, “Psychology of Chess Skill”, by Holding, University of Louisville, 1985.
All the best, Joe Lux
Maybe he already did, and that’s the reason he won’t read it. Recall that Adolf Hitler and Saddam Hussein both received that honor once upon a time.
Bill Smythe
And don’t forget Pierre Laval. (Before they shot him for treason, of course.)
