I’ve been away from the game for about 12 years. I used to know a lot of technical “stuff” that I think has been pushed out of my brain. I am looking for the CA to PGN conversion utility. I’ve found reference to the FTP site at Pitt. However, I can’t figure out how to get there. Can anybody help out an old guy whose killed too, too many grey cells ?

Pitt discontinued ftp access last summer. I can still access the files that were stored, but there is no easy way for anyone off-campus to do that. If you message me your email address, I can send the file to you that we have. But it is about 15 years old, so who knows if it still works.
Create a dataset and then save it as a new base. Select PGN as the new base format.
I actually did that today. Now how do I get it out of CA so I can import it into another program (Bookup) ?

I don’t have CA, but doesn’t it work similar to CB, where you can copy and past the game from the clipboard? If so, you may be able to copy it and past it directly into Bookup, or alternatively past it into a text editor and save the file with .pgn. Also, if you want to export many games - is it an export function, or is there a “print to file” function that lets you print to a texfile?
You guys are great ! The clipboard feature worked and I got it into Bookup.
