I wonder which version of the score they’re using?
Kera in North Texas = Dallas area.
It’s the 2008 revival version.
My PBS stations are repeating it 12-2:30 AM and 2-4:30AM on Friday (Central time.) Which I’m more than glad for, since I came into it a half hour late… Still time to fire up the DVR.
Thanks Jim T.!!!
I watched this last night and was amazed by it. Very well done and very moving.
Grrrr! I knew about it, and then forgot to watch. I guess I’ll have to see if they’re rebroadcasting it.
It’s also available on DVD. $14.99 from Amazon, for example.
Regards,
John
I taped it for $0.
I might have to see if my friend who works for PBS can score me a copy.
Polly, I suspect it’ll be available as a premium on the next fund-raising drive at WNET.
Having watched it twice now, I still think this is a musical that ALMOST works, about a subject that just doesn’t excite people, which is probably why it’s never been a big commercial success, at least in the USA, despite the immensely talented team who created it. (It ran for 3 years in London, but only about 2 months in New York.)
