The individual fedeations do not appear to be necessary anymore in order to submit FIDE-rated events.

I wonder how many tournaments will be FIDE rated under this proposal with a registration fee of 100 euro ($141), and a rating fee of 7 euro ($9.87) per player for a swiss and 300 euro ($423) for a round-robin played at G/60 or slower? (Note that at the time of writing, the conversion rate is 1 euro = $1.41.)

I suspect they’ll lower the fees as well.

I can only hope this is correct. The trend I’ve seen from FIDE is for them to increase their income. The last FIDE event I organized cost 5.5 times as much to have FIDE rate as the USCF.
