Interesting interview with Filatov who thinks Kirsan will be back.

There’s another response, on the FIDE website, which says Kirsan has filed a $20 billion – that’s with a ‘b’ --lawsuit against the US for damage to his reputation.
Does anyone know about this suit?
I’m reasonably sure that was mentioned on this forum some time back.

The Federal Tort Claims Act prohibits suing the Federal government for defamation. Further, even if Kirsan could sue, he would not have standing in Federal court to sue unless and until he exhausted his administrative remedies. Bottom line is that Kirsan and FIDE are blowing (belching?) smoke. I’ll check the federal PACER system on Monday to see if there has been any filing by Kirsan in any Federal court in the United States. Somehow, I doubt there has been any filing. Too funny. Kirsan should head to Comedy Central.
