how to get deep rybka 4 to analyze a full game?

Hi all. I can’t find the instructions for my deep rybka 4 and would like to get the program to do a complete game analysis without having to sit there for 4 or 5 hours and input one move after another and wait for it to give it’s move choice (at a slow time control) and THEN put in the next move. Can’t I put all the moves in before I ask it to analyze and then click analyze and it will go from move 1 on until the end while I go away and do something else and it give me a report later? I would greatly appreciate any help. Thank you.

You probably want the Blunder Check function. Put in the whole game, click tools>analysis>blunder check.

I have deep rybka3, so…uh, do something like that, or sit around and wait for someone who has deep rybka4 to confirm the steps.

I have a question about the newer versions of rybka. I have 2.3 and when I go to input a game it takes FOREVER. After move 30 it starts to slow down each move I input like it is thinking/searching the 3million games to display if that move has been played. When I have tried to input games 60 moves or more it takes 1min or more per move before it will let me inputthe next move :frowning: Is this normal/the case with the newer versious?

Hi. I got some advice at a tournament. You just have to cut off the engine first and THEN put in the whole game. Then click analysis, whichever type you want to run. About the last question: can’t you just set the time you want it to take? You know, 40 moves in 2 hours, or game in 1 hour, etc.

well…duh. i thought you were asking how to get it to analyze a game, not how to input the game.

Well… duh. I thought it was clear the first post. Sorry I couldn’t make it clearer, must be a low IQ thing…

Maybe the title of the thread should have been “how to input a game into rybka 4”

Yeah, I guess you’re right. Thank you.
