Help! I’m trying to figure out how to order mailing labels, but there doesn’t seem to be anything in TD/Affiliate to tell me how. Can someone please provide a link?
It’s been a while since I did this, but I’m pretty sure I got a CSV file by going through Demographic Queries in the TD/Affiliate menu. Then I used MS Excel to create the mailing labels and print them out.
It seems that this could more properly have been addressed with an email or a PM to the relevant staff member. How is Kevin Bachler (to mention the last poster I read) to know?
Perhaps Mr. Bachler has ordered labels in the past and remembers where the instructions are, or just has stumbled over the link randomly the way I have found so many things on the old website.
Question to Mr. Smith: Who is the relevant staff member?
I’m not Mr. Smith, but the US Chess staff member who processed my most recent order was Traci Lee. First create your demographic query, then mail or fax the label request form at http://www.uschess.org/docs/forms/MailingListOrderForm.pdf. You could write your request on the form but creating a demographic query has the advantage of letting you know in advance how many labels you’ll be receiving. You’ll also need to provide a copy of whatever it is you’ll be mailing.
That is what I recall. I wonder where that procedure is documented on-line? I have to admit it has been a long time since I ordered actual USPS mailing labels.
It took me a while to figure out. From the home page, click on About, then under PLAY click on Tournament Organizers. Then click on “Forms (including membership forms and the form to order mailing labels)”. Finally, click on MailingListOrderForm.pdf.
