Is there some easy way to change the address for a member? We have a 71-year-old Russian immigrant with no computer skills and little English who asked me to give the USCF his new address. I did a quick look under the TD/Affiliate Support FAQs and can’t find an easy way to make the change. His membership is current, or I would change it with a renewal.
If you have a affiliate with online access, I think you can do it. It was not designed to be used this way, but it should update the information. Just go down to ‘non-USCF member’, place the current information of the person.
When working with ‘non-USCF members’ because they are in the K-3 section. Just did the update, because the person birthday was not in the USCF data file. But it did take care of home mailing address, and any information other than the birthdate.
The worst it could do, if you use the ‘non-USCF member’ is reject the update in the validation report. If there was change, it will show up in the members MSA record of the last change date. I’m sure Mike Nolan never designed it to be like that, but some times you have to work around the federations’ back door!
Without double checking, the option is under members only where he signs in with his members id and his pin number.

Doug, as a result of your submitting a ‘non-member’ transaction against your own ID, you are now listed as a non-member living in Knoxville TN. Great idea!
I have added a new transaction type to the TD/A membership module, an ‘Address Change’ type.
This will not update the membership type or expiration date, but it will enable the TD to update the member’s address or birthdate. (As with all TD/A transactions, it will log who submitted the address change.)
As someone else has noted, members can submit address changes through the Members Only Area.
Great idea Mike, oh I changed it back to Michigan for ya with the non-membership I changed it back (non-USCF member) before you posted, oh well. Membership was just updated, membership is fine.
