Can anyone recommend a place to play in Montreal on Saturday afternoon? I’ll be driving up in the morning to visit family. Thanks.
I don’t know about actual clubs, but there is Pi as a place where you can probably pick up a game. When I was in Montreal for the Canadian Open I managed to visit there. Also, there is a nice chess store in Montreal. Try using Google to search out places. Pi restaurant/coffee house does not have clocks, but there are a few (2-3) sets that are available. Of course it would only be courteous to purchase something. As I recall there is a club that meets above the chess store, but I know nothing about its hours of operation.
