Nakamura or Kamsky

Who is the better Player Hikaru Nakamura or Gata Kamsky ?
Who is the real future of U.S Chess the past in Kamsky or the future of Nakamura ?

I want to hear everyones responses.

Flip a coin. Both have an outstanding position in Chess History secured by their past and future efforts. I have come to a layman’s conclusion, that at the level of Chess these Gentlemen play, it is an " On any given Sunday" adage. Just my take on it.

They’re so hard to compare because their styles are polar opposites. I think it’d be very interesting to organize a 6 game match between them. It’d be great for the fans, but I’m not sure the players themselves would be interested.

Kamsky is not the past. For example, he is in the current WC cycle! He may seem like the past because he seldom plays in-country. But Nakamura’s recent rise to prominence was achieved in Europe too. Europe (including enough of Russia to encompass Khanty-Mansiysk and Elista, and Bursa in Turkey) is where the really important chess stuff happens these days (except for the Mexico City WC.)

They might be the world’s best positional and tactical players.

I don’t believe I have enough chess knowledge to judge them in the abstract, i.e., from a theoretical basis. So looking at the question from a much more empirical perspective: what is their head-to-head record, over the past [insert some period of relevance… maybe 3 years]? Does anyone have this information? Thanks.
