Happy Mother’s Day to all the chess moms out there!
It has become my Mother’s Day tradition to publish a chess loss from my mom’s ex-husband. If she can appreciate any of my chess games, those would be the ones, and this year’s edition is especially nice. My PhD (Engineering), IM-beating, opponent is caught in a huge blunder and resigns in a miniature (a chess game less than 25 moves).
If that wasn’t enough, I have uploaded a video of my mom and I rafting in Australia. Our guide was Steve “all the way from the USA” (the narrator) and we show up many times in the 30 min video which I cliped to 8 minutes of mostly us. We show up at 2:22 (me in sunglasses and red sleeves, mom in black shorts), the rapids (me in front of boat, mom in back), and 4:52 (lunch interview).
