tournament corrections - anyone listening?

My last couple of emails (sent 10/8 and 10/7) to wbrown@uschess.org have gone unanswered. I know at one point Walter was supposed to be out. Is anyone reading those emails?

I am unaware of any significant backlog in handling corrections, but I am 850 miles away from Crossville.

Rather than post here, I would suggest you contact Walter’s supervisor, Jerry Nash (jmisner@uschess.org).

I emailed (10/26) Walter Brown about a duplicate tourney submission and rating. The next morning it was fixed (10/27). I would email him again. There does not seem to be a delay now.

I have known Walter for years. He does not like to write (or send emails). If the problem is clear (such as a duplicate tournament submission), he will probably fix it right away. If the problem is dubious (such as a player claiming he is listed as losing when he actually won), he probably wouldn’t act right away, because such a thing requires confirmation from the TD. In such a case he probably won’t respond directly to you right away.
