I am directing a tournament on April 2nd. I really need the April Supplement, because that is the supplement that I am supposed to use. However, the supplement is still not posted for download.
Based on previous availability times, I expected it to be posted 2 or 3 weeks ago.
I noticed this note on the MSA page - which makes it sound like it is ready, but it is being held back:
March 19th: The April Supplement ratings were prepared on Thursday and indcluded all events that ended on or before 2/28/05 and had been rated as of March 15th. Individual ratings from the April Supplement are now available on the ‘General’ tab for players. The downloadable files will be released when the rating supplement is sent to the printer.
It has been standard practice not to release the supplement files until the supplement has been sent to the printer.
It was sent to the printer today, I’m working on getting the files prepped and uploaded this evening.
UPDATE: The April 2005 files should be available for download now.
The April Supplement is larger than normal because of ratings system conversion issues and rerating all events since 1/1/2004. There are 53,349 records in the April 2005 supplement files and it takes 3 diskettes (for those who still use diskettes.)
Yes, the supplement is going to be a bit late being mailed out, a combination of factors including ratings system startup issues and staffing/health issues delayed when it was ready to be printed.
The new ‘state membership’ list feature on the Ratings page can display ratings as of either the February or April supplements.
TDs and Affiliates with access to the TD/Affiliate Support Area can request custom ratings lists with the April Supplement data.
There has been a report of a TD having problems with the April supplement files, but I’ve had other reports that they worked fine with both WinTD and Swis-Sys. If anyone has problems, please let us know ASAP.
I’m still using TnmtAdmt to update “Taratsup.dbf”. I had problems on my desktop which runs Win98. Basically the table was filled with garbage. It seemed that it might not have read the first disk. I reran it on my WinXP laptop and had no problems.
