When is the cutoff date for the April Suppliment? And when will the crosstables of MSA be printed in the old format like most wins at the top? I doubt if I’m the only one printing them out for a scrapbook.
The April supplement will be created some time on Sunday, the download file will probably not be available for about a week because we do not release it until the supplement has been sent to the printer.
As has been standard practice for years, it will not include any events that ended after 2/28.
I don’t know when we’ll get a sort routine into the MSA crosstable display program, or if we’ll go back to sorting the data prior to or during the rating run.
(A minor complication is that rerates or corrections could both cause the crosstable to have to be resorted.)
So if I understand correctly, If an event was just rated today 3/12/05 which ocurred on 2/5/05, that post rating will be the one in the April Suppliment?
Well, the event will be included in the events for the supplement but it may not be the last one in date-ending order for some or all of the players in it, so the post-event rating from it may not be the one that will be used for the supplement.
There will also be a rerate later today which will include all previously rated events that were held or rated in 2004 and 2005, which could change the ratings from that event.
