USChess Live has gone downhill in a hurry. I wouldn’t pay a penny for that service again.
I have tried it, recently and a few years ago. It’s about 10x worse now than how it was. I wouldn’t recommend it to my worst enemy.
Recently, we have made various improvements, and in a month, we are going to be hosting a tournament with a prize of $75 for the winner. Also, we have a new head admin from the one before and several new admins/service representatives/tournament managers that you may find much more efficient than those before.
THe major plus that USCL has is that as a USCF member, you can get the free ‘basic’ membership which gives you 10 rated games a day. So if all you are looking for is a place to play in a few rated games every day to try openings and such, why fork out $50 for ICC?
