WinTD tiebreaks computation

At a tournament yesterday, an assistant did pairings on his computer. I did not check, but he told me he was running the latest version of WinTD, although the tournament file was the old format. At the end, he printed out the prize list for this section.

When the tournament was over, he emailed my the file and I posted the results and rated the tournament. I am running the latest version of WinTD. Later somebody pointed out to me that the standings I posted differed from the prizes as announced. Players 10 and 11 are switched. Upon closer inspection, I believe WinTD miscalculated Tiebreak 1, Modified Median, on the assistant’s computer. Is this a known issue, or is there some setting that could account for this, or some operator error? Or some other explanation?

Technical support questions should be sent to Estima technical support (including the tournament file in question). Solkoff-based tie breaks have an adjustment for unplayed games by the player’s opponents. There was a bug in that adjustment which was fixed in 5.00j which is about 18 months old, so somebody presumably hasn’t gotten the bug fixed version.
