Greetings
Happy New Year! I guess I am a little late, but it is my chess publishing off-season. Anyway, I have collected some news over the past couple of months to pass along.
First, the Colorado Springs Chess Club announced the new officers for 2020 at the annual meeting: Paul Anderson, President; Peter Barlay, Vice President; Mark McGough, Treasurer. The attendees had many things to discuss, including the extended hours on the parking meters close to the club. Fortunately, there are still many cheap and free places to park just a little further away. See more details on the annual meeting below.
The USCF has rated the December Swiss 90. Gunnar Andersen and Aleksand Bozhenov split 1st, while Grayson Ed Harris claimed the u1800 and Vedant Pr Margale won the u1460. Here are the results:

The Game Of The Week comes from the IHOP Quick where Mitch Anderson found himself down a couple of Pawns but goes Obi Wan Kenobi (only hope) to overcome the deficit and bring home the win.
