I had this game a couple days ago. This is the diagram just before I moved as black. (It’s black’s turn to move).
Anyway, from a perspective of “art” for lack of a better word, I was wondering what other people thought of it. I’ll fish out the score later and post it.
It’s a one move tactic that pretty much destroys white, in a position, I think, that looks pretty quiet at a casual glance.
Black it at the bottom, white is on top.
BLACK TO MOVE

The move …f3 followed by …f2 breaks the defense of the h2 square. Interesting threat, not too hard to find. That is why one of my favorite sayings is, “Pawns are my friends.”
It only took me a few seconds to find the winning move, when I was playing, but I think the position itself is pretty cool. I suppose it’s because it looks like such an unlikely move in the face of the threat of white’s knight taking black’s rook.
As a friend of mine likes to say, “I spit on such a Knight.”
Here’s the game. Best to copy the moves and paste into a chess program as a .pgn file.
I thought the game had some interesting tension going on, but in the end, it was a blunder by white that ended the game.
I was black of course.
