Just received an email announcing the launch of a new organization, the National Association of Tournament Directors. It’s intended to encompass all sports, and looks like it’s directed at organizers, not TD’s in the sense we use that term.

Interesting. It seems to be aimed in particular at organizers who rent large facilities for their events. The average Club or Local TD probably wouldn’t have any use for this, but anyone who directs tournaments at hotels or stadiums might.
This looks like something that would be more NCAA or AAU oriented. Might even become a competitor to these two organizations. It looks very new; much of its information is oriented to 2012. Another company wanting fees to provide services many companies often do in-house.
