Enhanced Version of MSA

Mike,

This may have been asked before, and I know your things-to-do list is a mile long…

In the Tournament Director section of the TD’s MSA page it states that an enhanced version of the MSA search engine which will include events where the TD is listed as the Chief or Assistant Chief TD for the entire tournament is in the planning stages. Do you have any idea when we can expect to see this?

At the moment, I am not doing ANY ‘new’ work on website issues until Hal and Marty have completed what they’re working on.

MSA is probably in the ‘fall’ planning horizon, depending on what stuff the new Board makes their top priority in August. (Last year the Board came up with what turned out to be about 4 months of work, most of which wasn’t even in the project list.)

It should be noted that one of the items in the first draft of the planning budget was for an assistant for me, both to help get things done faster and to provide some backup in case I become unavailable for any reason.

However, that was cut from the plans to meet the Board’s payroll target.

I have a couple of people who may be able to help on a volunteer basis, but until Hal and Marty have gotten a few things done I think it would be premature to try to set up a testbed system for anyone to work with.
