Chicago Industrial Chess League playoffs

Last Saturday the 26-team league held the final two rounds of the three-round playoff Swiss (for the eight teams qualifying for the playoffs).

For the first time in memory in the league’s 50+ year history the playoffs ended with neither a single champion team nor two co-champions. Five teams went 2-1 to tie for first.
Saint Charles Chess Club (beat Blue Cross/Blue Shield, tied Downers Grove Chess Club, tied Lucent Tyros)
Downers Grove Chess Club (beat United Oil Products, tied Saint Charles, tied Motorola Knights)
Motorola Knights (beat Midway Chess Club Yorktown, tied Lucent Tyros, tied Downers Grove)
Lucent Tyros (beat United Oil Products, tied Saint Charles, tied Motorola)
Midway Chess Club Yorktown (beat DRW, beat Blue Cross/Blue Shield, lost to Motorola)
