And what a tournament it was for those of you following…

Webster University wins the event outright with a 6-0 score.

Then today was the day of days - the results would determine who the other 3 spots would be:

Texas Tech University
University of Maryland-Baltimore County
University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana

If I’m not mistaken with the tie-break order for 2nd-3rd place it should be as follows:

1st - Webster University - 6.0
2nd - University of Maryland Baltimore County - 5.0
3rd - University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana - 5.0
4th - Texas Tech University - 4.5

So oops they did it again and became the Cinderella story team that made it to the final four of chess! Now it would be great if they could complete that story and win it all :smiling_imp:

If I calculated correctly, if TTU had lost, then UTD would have gone onto the Final Four on tie breaks.
