Correspondence Ratings

I have a question simply out of curiosity. If it’s been asked on the forums, I apologize. The ratings came out this month and I was given a correspondence rating. How is this number calculated if no games have been completed yet? Is it based on the Class I registered under and the players I’m currently playing? Right now, I’m playing in two Correspondence Tourneys, with another one waiting on additional players.

Sorry, I’ve recently joined USCF, and am probably asking basic questions.

Gonna go out on a limb and say your mystery impersonator played them?

it looks like you have two games recently reported as having your opponent forfeit.

See main.uschess.org/datapage/corr-h … d=14421620

The correspondence ratings formula is quite a bit different from the regular ratings system, forfeits can have some impact on your CC rating.

If you believe the report of two completed games is incorrect, you should contact Alex Dunne.

Mike,

No, I had no clue he forfeited, so it makes even more sense now.

Thanks!
