Hedgehog simul, Galaxy Fest simul, Queen to Play video...

Greetings,

I will be at Petrie’s Family Games’ (3502 Hartsel Dr, Suite 100, Colorado Springs, CO 80920 - 719.522.1099) chess day today starting around 1 pm since I didn’t play in the Winter Springs Open this weekend. I will host a simul and take on up to 10 people to give away The Complete Hedgehog by Sergey Shipov. Whoever beats me in the fewest moves gets the book or I will draw score sheets if no one wins.

This will be practice for me if I have to fill in at Galaxy Fest, Feb 24-26 (galaxyfest.org/). They have asked me to find chess players to run chess simuls on each day of the convention. So far, LM Brian Wall and NM Josh Bloomer have said yes, but I am looking for a third. If anyone knows if Randy Canney is playing in the Winter Springs, let me know. I would like to ask him or let him know to contact me.

Also, I finally got to see Queen To Play. It is possibly the best movie I have ever read. I liked it so much I clipped part of it to add to the website. You can watch a couple of minutes here: cschess.webs.com/apps/videos/vid … y-on-chess

In addition, I have some games for you. The first is from Imre Barlay. He was not happy with DuWayne Langseth’s recap of the club championship in regards to the Imre and Rhett games. He may have felt the dad was a little biased reporting on his son. So, in the effort to promote equal time, I promised to send along their only recorded game:
