If it is true - and I can’t imagine it isn’t - that is unfortunate. GM Judit Polgar has, IMHO, been absolutely wonderful for the game, as both player and ambassador. She has defeated many current/former world champions and has been the world’s highest rated woman for a quarter-century. However, she is approaching 40, has a husband and two children, and is spending a great deal of time on chess programs for children. I can understand why she would want to change her focus.
Her story has been remarkable. I, for one, cannot wait to see the next chapter.
