July Mating Game

Greetings,

The July Mating Game (4SS, G/30;d/10, USCF-rated, $5 entry, prizes) continues at the Colorado Springs Chess Club this Tuesday with rounds 3 & 4!

If you don’t want to miss round 3, plan to avoid the 76th annual Pikes Peak Or Bust Rodeo Parade on July 12, 2016 at 6:30 p.m. in downtown Colorado Springs (on Tejon, from St. Vrain to Vermijo). Arrive early! Parking will be especially difficult this evening and the west side of Tejon will be the worst. Good luck and let me know if you have already entered and cannot make it.

Here is a position from round 2 of the July Mating Game between Alex Freeman and Dan Rupp. It is White to move.
