My 60 Memorable Games is back in print

I haven’t seen it available in many places yet, but Batsford just released a new edition of Fischer’s My 60 Memorable Games. This edition is the same as the original edition with the exception of a switch of the notation from descriptive to algebraic. I just received a copy yesterday as an early birthday gift from a visiting brother-in-law, and I am looking forward to reading it. 380 pages of games annotated by Fischer.

Didn’t Fischer complain there was numerous changes to his annotations?

He complained about an edition that came out in 1995. This edition is the same as the original text with the exception of the algebraic notation instead of descriptive.

This page on Edward Winter’s site describes the 1995 Batsford edition in great detail.

Facinating article about the book.

A better selection might be Bobby Fischer’s Chess Games by Robert G. Wade. He did the research for
Bobby’s run for the world championship.

Great book. So glad I have it. Must be rare by now, no? Robert Wade just passed away, I understand.
