Facebook rumors say that Tobey Maguire of Spiderman fame, will play Bobby J. in a new movie about the 1972 WC Match.
No word yet, on who will play Spassky. How about the guy now playing James Bond as Boris?
All the best, Joe
(Is USCF involved?)

Better, how about Liev Schreiber as Boris?

Spassky would probably want someone like Brad Pitt or George Clooney to play him.
Toby McGuire?! At least find someone who has the same height and lanky body similar to Fischer’s in '72. Fischer looked like an athlete during his appearance on the Dick Cavett show during that era.
I’m waiting for the sequel: Bobby Fischer, Vampire Hunter
Bobby Fischer, Zombie Hunter! (Vampires are “old hat”.)
Nicholas Cage got too old to portray Fischer.
Cage would have been perfect for the role.
Vampire Hunter??? That would Suck!? (LOL)

Forget the zombies or vampires. How about “Bobby Fischer, the deadliest catch” ? This could refer to the fact that Fischer is no fish, or certainly the most dangerous fish. He certainly was a danger to the TV crews.

Based on the photos taken of Fischer away from the chess board in Iceland in '72, one title for a movie might be “Bobby Fischer, Horse Whisperer.” I cannot recall the photographer’s name, but there was an article and photos about Fischer in New in Chess a while back. Part of the article was on Fischer’s travels in the countryside and how at ease he was with animals.
Filming for Pawn Sacrifices starts in October
