OTB to computer?

Anybody know how to get an over-the-board game into a computer? I have Chessbase and fritz to use. But prefer .pgn notation.
I have babeschess for online play too. Maybe I could use that. I could also download a program if it’s freeware.

I’m not clear on what exactly it is that you’re trying to do. Chessbase will copy a game as a pgn file as opposed to a Chessbase file. Most other programs can read pgn, Chessbase and Chess Assistant files.

I actually used Chess King. I use it for training, but they have a database section and allows you to input a game manually. I didn’t realize Chess King had that option when I was posting earlier. I don’t get much of a chance to play OTB, and saw a couple guys playing in a park, so I stopped and played a game.

I’ve never had a problem saving from Fritz or Chessbase GUIs to .pgn. Should be doable under “save as”.

I think your a bit late on the post. I already saved the game, and posted it.

Truthfully, I barely use Chessbase much nowadays. I spend more time doing training on other programs and online play. Chessbase is a tool, but I look at it as a research tool rather than a training tool. It has it’s uses though. I haven’t upgraded Chessbase since version 11. I think I’d have to upgrade Chessbase if I wanted to use their current database. Or at least to get full function out of it’s current databases. Not even sure Chessbase 11 can open the newer databases available on Chessbase.com. Getting the newest version of Chessbase is on my bucket list. No idea if I’ll get around to doing it anytime soon. I’m just wanting to get more bells and whistle and a more update database. But it’s very low on my bucket list of stuff I want but don’t really need.
