If I’m not mistaken, Benefactors are supposed to be updated w/ a new rulebook and given a list of ACTIVE Benefactors. Aren’t Benefactors to be notified and be invited to Benefactor dinners and luncheons?
you are very mistaken.
Yes they are entitled to being given a rulebook so, they know what rules are supposed to go by. People play and at tournaments and a Benefactor’s name is assigned to them. Benefactors oversee that play is fair, hence, they need a common rulebook. loose sheets of paper equates to a mess. With all the addendums that have been written for the 7th Edition, we should be on Edition 9.
what is a Benefactor?
As Mr. Langland knows, but some people following along at home may not, a Benefactor is a member who has donated to U.S. Chess a certain amount above the normal amount of dues to become a life member.
What this topic has to do with Benefactors is, as with Mr. Langland, beyond me.
