Mike,
Do you know where the office is on registrations for Nashville. I’ve got four kids I signed up on the 7th that still do not show up. Should I be worried or patient?
Thanks,
Mike
With Al Losoff running the backroom, I would be patient.
Yes, I’m concerned too: they’re processing 'em at the rate of about 100 per day. Seeing as they’ve got less than two weeks to the event, and they’re expecting up to another 1800 players…
I registered my son on March 6th and he does not show up either. The website states that the USCF is about 5 to 10 days behind. March 6th is 21-days behind.
I think they either need to correct the web site and let everyone know that they are 20-days behind.
I have sent emails inquiring about the situation regarding my son because I don’t want to get there on Friday to find out that he is NOT registered and may miss round 1 due to the USCF’s error.
There are steps being taken to get the advance registration lists up to date, at least for entries received online.
Alan Kantor is in the USCF office today (Easter Sunday) working on registrations, he has been there late into the evening every day this week.
According to Alan, he is nearly caught up on mail entries and he’s currently working on web entries from the 10th, which is past the big crunch date. Over 250 orders were received online on March 7th, that’s about how many have been received in total since then.
I don’t know the last time Al Losoff updated the online registration lists, he’s probably several days behind Alan Kantor.
As I said before, with Al Losoff running the backroom in Nashville, I think things will turn out OK. I’ll be in Nashville as well, starting on Wednesday, April 6th.
