Update from USCF supplement with WinTD

When I try to update from the USCF supplement, I get the error message that “taratsup.dbf is not found”. The zipfile I download from the USCF webpage does not contain a taratsup.dbf file it only contains a taratsup.cvr file. How do I get WinTD to look for that file?

Mick

Here are the files in the April Supplement zip file:
Archive: RS0604.zip
Length Date Time Name

509326 03-20-06 09:42 TARSFLE2.DBF
505 03-20-06 09:58 README.txt
3 01-19-06 09:29 tadskcnt.dat
8 03-20-06 09:58 taratsup.cvr
1434226 03-20-06 09:42 TARSFLE1.DBF

1944068 5 files
I don’t use WinTD, but it should be looking for TARSFLEx.DBF files, not a taratsup.dbf file, though that is the file name used for the gold master file.
Archive: GD0602.zip
Length Date Time Name

35093714 01-30-06 10:31 TARATSUP.DBF
949 03-20-06 10:20 README.txt

35094663 2 files
It sounds like maybe your WinTD system isn’t pointed to the correct ratings master file location.

Find the directory with TARATSUP.DBF and then go into WinTD and do File - USCF Directory. Then point to the correct drive and directory.

This is a little tricky in WinTD because the filenames do not show in the window. You just have to know where it is and maneuver to that folder. (Also, though this should go without saying, you have to unzip them first.)

My guess is that either I must use the Golden file first since it has the file that WinTD is looking for and then perhaps it will look for the .cvr file that exists in the supplement reports. Or there must be a way to tell WinTD to look for the .cvr file instead. Does anyone know which works? Has anyone used WinTD and updated it master file with the USCF supplements?
